My Approach

Experience has led me to believe that many people know what might lie at the root of their unhappiness, and with time and the correct tools, are capable of overcoming their personal challenges. This process takes commitment and responsibility, and stems from a decision that an individual makes as an investment in theirselves.

If one feels judged or criticised, the channels of communication are blocked and no exploration or learning can take place. I endeavour to provide a safe space in which this exploration and learning of self can occur. I believe this can be successful if the relationship between client and counsellor is based on trust, respect and unconditional acceptance.

People want to live their lives to their fullest capacity, and my role as a counsellor would be to support and aid an individual’s emotional growth and pursue the emotional health that they desire.

This would take place as per a mutually acceptable mandate between the client and counsellor.

What I Offer:

I provide counselling for Individuals and Couples in which we can explore:

  • Sadness & Depression
  • Loneliness
  • Fear & Anxiety
  • Change
  • Stress
  • Relationships
  • Disappointment
  • Loss
  • Communication

I also feel that there is value to he had in support groups, and to this end, support groups will also be run based on an individual’s needs and preferences. For ladies who are struggling with “empty nest” and change, a support group will meet on the first Friday of each month from 09:00 to 11:00. This meeting will be held at my office.

Please Note

I am registered with the Counsel for Counsellors, (Reg No.Co 20206).
