Noelene Duncan - Counsellor

About Noelene Duncan

I matriculated from Richards Bay High School in 1980 after having moved to Richards Bay in 1976. As life goes, there were some less travelled roads to be explored, curved balls thrown and experiences to be had before I could fulfil my purpose and open my own Counselling Centre for which I am truly grateful.

I trained and worked in the civil engineering construction industry for a number of years and once my children were born, the demands of my family outweighed my energy for construction. Becoming a wife and mother rekindled the awe that I have always had for people, as I was faced with relationships which made new and important demands on me and forced me to examine my own beliefs and thoughts. In 2002, I registered with UNISA and achieved my Bachelor of Arts (Health Sciences and Social Services) with specialisation in Psychological Counselling degree in 2009.

In 2016, I began a support group for individuals who needed a confidential, non-judgemental and caring and safe space in which they could “unpack” their feelings and thoughts. I attended the Helios Course for Counsellors based on the Strepco Approach to Therapy and was registered with the Counsel of Counsellors as a Counsellor. (Reg No.Co 20206).

I have been married for 29 years and my husband and I have a daughter and 2 sons. Our children are now well and truly on their own paths now and I am able to focus on what has been a lifelong love and dream.
